SUIZAN Japanese flush cut saw

SUIZAN Japanese flush cut saw

The SUIZAN Japanese Flush Cut saw has a unique design with two edges, giving you two saws in one. Like all flush cut saws, it has a very thin blade that bends when pressed against the surface to flush cut things like dowels, tenons. The teeth are set in a way that they will not damage the surface whilst the blade sits flush against it.

Using the two blades of SUIZAN flush cut saw

Part of the SUIZAN family, the flush cut saw has one edge with very fine teeth (25 tpi) and its aimed at softwoods. The other has slightly coarser teeth (17 tpi) and helps cut hardwood much more easily, cleanly and its designed for long life.

Key features

  • Flush trimming saw with two cutting edges
  • Teeth per inch: 17 and 25 tpi
  • Blade length: 130 mm
  • Cuts hardwood, softwood

How to make the most of the SUIZAN flush cut saw?

Although the saw is designed to cut off dowels without damaging the surrounding surface (due to the way the teeth are set), placing a piece of paper or blue tape covering the surrounding area will make sure that it does not get damaged.

You can easily cut oak, sandalwood, ebony, mahogany, maple, walnut and pine by robust blade for hardwood. The blade for softwood can be used for white cedar, Japanese cedar, larch, paulownia wood and similar.
