Qiangsheng Luban No. 4 Bench Plane
A No 4 is there to finish a surface that has been worked on with larger planes such as a No 5, 62 or 7. The shorter sole means it can get with the larger ones cannot, removing the last peaks of material, leaving the ultimate flat and smooth surface.
This No 4 weighs 2.2 kg which is probably one of the heaviest in the category. Based on the Bedrock pattern, it is hefty, accurate and a pleasure to work with. The blade is thick and made of high carbon steel blade which means you can get a really sharp cutting edge with little effort.
