About Flagline cord
Our flagline cord is the very original from Denmark and, just like our Danish cord, it’s the same that was used on design icons such as Hans Wegner’s Flag Halyard Chair, Poul Kjærholm’s PK1 , PK4 and PK25 chairs, and many others. And it is the same that is used by the Danish design houses that continue making those mid-century classic designs.
The outer layer is made of flax, which is a natural, sustainable material. Flax is similar to cotton on the touch, but it is stronger and more sunlight resistant. It requires significantly less water to grow, compared to cotton, making it the best option for the planet.
Flagline was originally called halyard when it was used on sailing boats, thus the name of Hans Wegner’s design classic: Flag Halyard Chair.
