Made of stainless steel and decorated with Japanese zodiac symbols, the Shinwa mitre square is sturdy, accurate and extremely useful. Both 90- and 45-degree marks and scribes can be made, as well as other angle combinations with help of the internal cut outs.

The square has a squareness tolerance of 0.1 per 100 mm (under 4 thousand per inch) at 90° and 0.2mm per 100 mmm at 45°.
